TEENS TAKE SUMA
LOGO & FLYER DESIGN

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
For Teens Take SUMA, I created the logo, visual identity, and promotional flyer for an event designed to encourage teens to explore their creativity and create art without feeling pressure to be perfect. The goal was to create a visual identity that felt authentic to the audience and reflected the idea that art can be expressive, experimental, and personal.
The design direction was inspired by a grunge aesthetic, using a spray-painted style typeface, imperfect lettering, and a black-and-white color palette to create a raw and energetic feeling. The background features a blurred image of the museum with a halftone effect, adding texture while keeping the focus on the typography and overall mood.
Many of the design elements were intentionally imperfect, including the hand-painted style of the type and slightly difficult-to-read text. This helped reinforce the message behind the event: that creativity does not have to be polished or perfect to be meaningful. By creating a design that felt approachable and authentic, I wanted teens to feel welcomed and excited to participate, regardless of their artistic experience.
