PROJECT DESCRIPTION
For the 2024 SUMA Sidekicks program, I had the exciting opportunity to develop the brand identity and visual theme. This year's theme, "Peace, Love, and SUMA," drew inspiration from the psychedelic rock posters within SUMA's collection. These posters, characterized by their hand-written style, warped typography, and surreal imagery, served as the primary visual influence. My goal was to capture the essence of this aesthetic while creating a cohesive and engaging identity for the student program.

The logo for SUMA Sidekicks was designed using a digital typeface, ensuring consistency and ease of application across various platforms. While the logo maintains a clean, digital foundation, the rest of the visual identity, particularly the posters, embraces the hand-drawn, hand-written aesthetic of the source material. This contrast creates a dynamic and visually interesting experience. The posters feature custom lettering and illustrations that evoke the spirit of the psychedelic era. The color palette is bright and vibrant, reflecting the energy of the theme, but also carefully selected to harmonize with SUMA's overall branding, ensuring a unified and recognizable visual presence for the museum and its student programs. This project included a logo, posters for signing up and activities, a sign up sticker, a punchcard, and digital marketing banners.
